Input angle and elongation - hydraulic cylindre
Linear drives are made with input elongation. Examples are hydraulic cilindres as well as pneumatic cylindres.
Curved slider
SAM provides the curved slider element, both for linear and rotational application. This element can be used to simulate cam shaft drives. Cam follower geometry is not yet taken into account.
Non linear spring as end stop
The non-linear spring can be used well as an end-stop, by defining a zero stiffness over the free moving range, en let it rise high at the stop position.
Sensor
SAM provides the sensor element, typically used to measure distances and angles dynamically while the mechanism is in move. Sensors are available for linear and rotational application.
Gas spring
SAM offers the gas spring which is distinguished from the normal spring by its hysteresis property. The limitations of the stroke are controlled bij SAM.
Spring and non-linear spring
SAM offers the linear spring with preload as well as the non-linear spring. Springs can be set up as push- or pull springs. The non-linear spring is defined by a customised force-path diagram.
