Force vector - knee press
In this demo the force in a knee press tool is rising to a high value at the actual pressing phase. In SAM the profile of a force can be defined by a table in a way that this pressing process can be simulated.
Force in belt drive
A belt can transmit pulling forces only. This demo also shows how to define a force vector that will stay tangential while rotating the pulleys.
Driving torque in transfer mechanism
In this transfer mechanism mass and gravity will cause an erratic course in the graph of the driving torque.
Mobility analysis degree-of-freedom
During the creation of a mechanism SAM updates the status of mobility. The degrees of freedom (DOF) are qualified as determined, kinematically indeterminate or statically overdetermined as well as the missiing of an input drive.
Hypocyclic planetary mechanism
In SAM, gears can also be designed with internal teeth. This creates a hypocycloid planetary transmission.
Slider driven gear transmission
In this example angular fixation between a slider and a gear is made. When connecting elements in a node, initially the rotation degree of freedom (DOF) is released.
